About a disabled girl in India

Accidents happen everyday. Someone get through them in different stages of life, but someone is just born with them from the start. No matter what, we must not give up and we need to fight. This is about 17-year-old partially blind girl named Chancal, who was born with mental illness.

In the 2013 floods happened in a place called Kedarnath. Her father was killed and she went missing. Her mother lives in Ghazibab with no contact at all, because of authority rules. Five years after the floods the whereabouts of her family came to surface. Her uncle and nine other relatives were in no place for taking care of her because of the financial constraints and girl’s disabilities. The district administration decided to provide them housing and shelter for Alligarh family as the rehabilitation centre in order to help a girl to improve her cognitive and intellectual skills and to prepare family and her to confront this problem with a more positive attitude. Also, as the Aligarh magistrate CB Singh said, ” Rs 50,000 in cash will be deposited in her name in the bank”.

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel like there is always a hope in a hopeless situation like this and we need to believe.
